Consistent service as always

This isn't my first Ooma purchase. I've had Ooma Telo for years, and just added an Ooma HD3 Handset. The quality is always reliable. Setup was just as simple as my original Telo. It's why I keep coming back, they just work.

Mostly good, one small issue

I bought the Ooma Smart Cam and an Ooma Door and Window Sensor to try out their home security. The camera quality is pretty good and the sensor was simple to install. I had a little trouble linking the sensor to the app initially, took a couple tries. But once it connected, everything worked fine. Shipping was quick. Overall, I'm satisfied but the app could be a bit more intuitive for new devices.

So happy with Ooma Office!

I switched our small business to Ooma Office Pro Plus and it's been a game changer! The call quality is fantastic, and the mobile app is super convenient for my team. We got the Ooma DP1-O Desk Phone too, which is really solid. I'm telling all my business owner friends about this. Definitely shopping here again!

Smooth experience with new system

I recently upgraded our office to Ooma Office Pro, moving from an older VoIP system. The ordering process was straightforward online. I also got a couple of Ooma Yealink IP Phones. Delivery took about 5 business days to reach our office, which was reasonable. Installation was manageable; the online guides were helpful, though I did call support once for a quick question about port forwarding, and they were quite responsive. The call quality on the new phones is excellent, much clearer than our old system. The Ooma Office Mobile App has been a great addition for remote work too. Happy with the switch.

Decent value with discount

I was looking for a cheaper home phone option and found the Ooma Telo. I managed to get it with a hardware discount, which made it feel like a really good deal. The monthly fees are low, just taxes basically. It was a worthwhile purchase for the savings.

Can I use my existing phone number if I switch to Ooma Telo? Or do I have to get a new one?

M Marcus 2 months ago

You can port your number, yeah. They charge a small fee for it, but it's totally doable. I did it when I first signed up.

S Sam Carter 2 months ago

I kept my old number. It took a few days for the port to go through, but it was pretty seamless overall. Just make sure you follow their instructions carefully.

Does Ooma have a discount for military personnel or veterans? I've seen some companies offer that.

A Andre 1 month ago

I'm not sure if they have a specific military discount listed on their main site. Might be worth checking if you qualify for a Costco member exclusive though, sometimes those overlap.

P Priya 1 month ago

I haven't seen a dedicated military discount myself. You could always try contacting their sales team directly and asking, sometimes companies have unadvertised ones.

What's the return policy like for Ooma hardware? Just in case it doesn't work out.

O Omar 2 months ago

I think it's 30 days for returns? I've never had to return anything, but I remember seeing that in their policy.

S Steve W. 2 months ago

Yeah, I returned a smart cam once. It was 30 days. Just had to get an RMA number from them and ship it back. Pretty straightforward process.

Thinking of switching to Ooma. Does it actually work without monthly fees after you buy the box, or is there a catch?

C Cleo B. 2 months ago

Yeah, pretty much. You pay for the Telo box upfront, then just taxes and fees every month. It's not totally free, but way cheaper than a regular phone line.

M Mark V. 2 months ago

Exactly. I've had mine for years. The 'free' part is the service itself, but you still gotta cover the government stuff. Still saves me a ton though.

I'm thinking about the Ooma Telo Air. Does it really work reliably over Wi-Fi, or should I just stick with a wired connection if possible?

M Marcus 2 months ago

I have the Telo Air and it's been rock solid on Wi-Fi for me. My router is in a different room and I haven't had any issues with call quality.

6

D Dan Foster 1 month ago

Mine is wired, so can't speak for the Air specifically, but I've heard good things about the Wi-Fi ones. Your internet connection quality is probably the main factor.
